Another week into the season and with last weeks wins at
Lancaster, Lytham and Morecambe the first team were feeling ready to take on
Blackpool, who brought with them visiting professional Dale Deeb before stepping out on Sunday for the
National Knockout second round tie against the Lancashire leagues Clifton
Cricket Club. Saturday was dry and chilly and as the BBC weather teams keep telling us we're still getting northerly winds sweeping down over the country which is bringing with it weather that's colder that a Chris Harty break up letter. This was coupled with another week of heavy showers and plenty of days dragging covers on an off the wicket to give a playing surface that whilst dry would inevitable prove to be low and relatively slow.
