The 2012 Season is looming and to get the boys in top form for the opening game against Fleetwood Captain Holdsworth, who has been re-appointed for the duration of the upcoming season, has booked in a pre-season friendly against Penwortham CC, the winners of the Palace Shield League in 2011.

Penwortham boast the notable name of Flintoff on the the books and won the league last year winning 16 of their 22 fixtures. The team should be a notable test for the Northern League team.  The game will be played on Saturday 7th April, come down and bask in what we hope will be early April sunshine and watch resigned pro Gurav Dhar and spin partner Iain Critchley in early season action.
